School Values & Student Wellbeing

School Values & Student Wellbeing

There is a strong emphasis on the development of values, positive attitudes and resilience in our Values Program.

Values Program

There is a strong emphasis on the development of values, positive attitudes and resilience in our Values Program. See the Growing for Life Page for more information.

Circle Time and the Respectful relationship Program is conducted across all year levels of the school, structured frameworks to teach the Values Program, social and emotional learning and promote a positive class ethos.

Students are respected and valued as individuals with the capacity to learn. These attributes enable students to reflect on their strengths, identify areas they need to work on and gives them the strategies, confidence and resilience to become independent and self-directed learners with the knowledge, skills and behaviours to prepare for lifelong learning.

Student Support Services

Student Support Services Officers are available to provide support to students and families. They include psychologists, guidance officers, speech pathologists and special education consultants.

Student Welfare

Comprehensive policies and programs have been developed in the areas of behaviour management, anti-bullying and student welfare, with a strong emphasis on the well-being of all children.

An assertive discipline approach encourages all children to take responsibility for their own behaviour, and is implemented effectively throughout the school with a strong emphasis on recognition and reward of positive behaviours. Our school is a proud recipient of a Silver Award for School Wide Positive Behaviour Support.
